Keaton was frustrated lately over his feelings, and while he opened up a bit easier with Mikey, there was a part of him that he could talk about this specific thing with Blue much easier. He was doing good, he was. He was putting in the work and it was paying off. Keaton was trying not to shove all his feelings down like usually, and he felt closer with Blue since she helped him open up a little more and take risks he probably wouldn’t have a year ago.
There was always something unspoken though when it came to the forges accident, something that took months of therapy before he even dared to open that box. That was what he was working through recently. In bits and pieces, and what his therapist believed to be some lingering ptsd from the accident, he tried to work through it. With the accident came the topic of Jack. It had been years, but there was a part of Keaton that was still angry about it. It had lessened, but it was still there, and he wasn’t sure if that would ever go away. He was sick of being angry about it, but it was hard because he was reminded everyday about it with his leg. His therapist had brought up the possibility of forgiving Jack, not for Jack, but for him, and the possible closure it might bring him. Keaton was conflicted about it. He found himself laying on the couch, throwing a ball up and down in the air as he saw his sister walk into the cabin. “Hey,” he said. “Do you have a minute to talk about something kinda serious?”
