Experience the flavors of the Southern United States with these delicious and succulent Southern Kebabs. Marinated chicken and colorful vegetables are skewered and grilled to perfection, creating a mouthwatering dish that's perfect for any barbecue or outdoor gathering.
Ingredients: 1 lb boneless chicken thighs, cut into cubes. 1 red bell pepper, cut into chunks. 1 green bell pepper, cut into chunks. 1 onion, cut into chunks. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 2 tablespoons olive oil. 2 tablespoons yogurt. 1 tablespoon lemon juice. 1 teaspoon cumin powder. 1 teaspoon paprika. 1/2 teaspoon chili powder. Salt and pepper to taste. Wooden skewers, soaked in water.
Instructions: In a bowl, combine yogurt, lemon juice, minced garlic, cumin powder, paprika, chili powder, salt, and pepper to create the marinade. Add the chicken cubes to the marinade and coat them evenly. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes. While the chicken is marinating, soak the wooden skewers in water to prevent them from burning on the grill. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Thread the marinated chicken, red bell pepper, green bell pepper, and onion onto the soaked wooden skewers, alternating between ingredients. Brush the skewers with olive oil to prevent sticking on the grill. Place the skewers on the preheated grill and cook for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and the vegetables are tender and slightly charred. Serve the Southern Kebabs hot, garnished with fresh herbs if desired. Enjoy your flavorful and juicy Southern Kebabs!
