so spoilers for kotet and 5.4 under cut

basically at the end of new new expansion, kotet, your character becomes the ruler of zakuul, whether they’re a tyrant or a peacekeeper is up to you. 

in the newest story expansion (its just one area, iokath a planet that was ruled by machine gods, you visit it in kotet and is the end of scorpio’s story) there was apparently a new super weapon found on it and both the republic and empire are fighting over it and you’re forced to choose which side you support (which again is stupid because why go back to imp vs pubs when they've been shoving zakuul so much)

while you’re on iokath you learn that someone in the alliance has betrayed you and thats where it ends off. the newest update was datamined and it showed that theron was the one who betrayed you. his betrayal had literally zero lead ups to it, he was literally one of your closest advisers and the next second he hates you. granted this would make some sense if you were playing a dark side character but even if you’re light side and done everything to ensure peace and stability he still calls you “a symbol of oppression” like just decided to butcher his character for no reason??? but yeah i’m done with swtor and as far as im concerned the story ended at kotet lmao

well i mean the Boss’ goal was never unite the gangs, it was Destroy the gangs. maybe Pierce should have brought that idea up with them bcs he sure as hell never did in 2!!!!! (you know Boss and Johnny never would have gone for it)
