91% of public lands near Chaco Culture National Historic Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, are already leased for oil and gas mining. Tomorrow, the U.S. Bureau of Land Management aims to lease the last 9%.
The BLM is ignoring the pleas of Native American tribes and others in its planned lease of 843 acres of Greater Chaco. New Mexico fracking operations desecrate the health, homes, sacred sites, environment, and water of Native and non-Native communities.
