Update for direct followers of this account about the blog keeper.
I'm out of the rehabilitation center I was at and SHOULD be able to see my girls tomorrow. I'm planning to bring them with me to where I am staying in their emergency travel enclosure so I can care for them. The only other option is to leave them in their big enclosure, which I considered, but I know that they will not be getting proper care, or attention if I'm not able to care for them (I considered taking just Scoria due to her disability and needing special care, but I know they will both flip out if I separate them. I know them.)
If I had someone local who could ensure they were properly cared for I'd let them stay in their large enclosure I would. But weighing my options, going to their emergency enclosure is in their best interest now. I'm so glad I have one set up and just ready to go. So things will be a bit different for a while. Real life often doesn't do what we plan.
But we go forward with what we have, caring for those we love and fighting through the challenges to keep them safe.
I should be able to start walking again in about a month and I can bring their enclosure to where we are staying now.
I try not to show too much about my life here, this is a blog about them and their lives. Me getting a broken leg and other unexpected life changes affecting multiple areas of my life has been a massive impact to their lives.
It's something that folks following the blog will notice and wonder about.
I'm doing my best. And putting their care above all else. Limited in what I can do. But fighting to make our future better.
