Keeping a diary
I find that keeping a diary helps me to vent how I’m feeling. I can express myself, and write down how I really feel without being judged or worrying that I will offend or upset anyone else.
I write down words, sentences or draw pictures to describe my feelings and thoughts throughout the day. Later, I look back and reflect on how I was feeling when I wrote in my diary, and I can see if anything has changed. I can see what went well during my day, and what didn’t go so well so that I can improve in the future.
Also, I often write down positive quotes and reminders about the good things in my life. I can look back at these when I am not feeling too happy and they help me to stay positive and remember that things always get better.
I use an exercise book as a diary, but you can write on anything you like. Just find some paper in any form that you can write on, and keep it in a safe place so that you can go back to it.
Keeping a diary really helps me. I hope it could help you too.
