Following on from my previous post, here's the male version that the artist created. Obviously I can't directly relate to this as I am female, not male, but I have heard many of these phrases said to boys/men. And like the artist points out, most of these comments are put-downs that liken males to females in a derogatory way, thus implying that women are worth less than men 😤 So we all need to fight against this nonsense and #keeppersisting 💪🏼 #Repost @courtneymprivett with @repostapp ・・・ I'm so overwhelmed right now and it's amazing. I was asked to draw a male version of my #ShePersisted piece. As you can see, I ran out of space again. Also again, these things are said by both men and women, many of them beginning in early childhood. This is for my son, who lives to dance and should never be shamed for that. ETA: read the bubbles. Many of the words and phrases are female-oriented. Using these words as insults reinforces a societal bias that females are less than male. That's the point of this drawing.
