He's gone as far as to say that American Football "reflects toxic masculinity and echoes the historical oppression of marginalized groups. He draws parallels between the ethos of football and the nation's history of wars, manifest destiny, and the transatlantic slave trade. Al-Sayed questions whether there is a way to reform football to mitigate its negative influences." Then, the other day, what does he do? He challenges his much older Political Opponent to an "Old School" Tackle Football Game with no pads. Hm. That begs the question that if American Football is so bad and represents all the terrible things El-Sayed says they do then why would he go so far as to play that game?

In the first image, Representative William Jennings Bryan of Nebraska pushes a mule with the label Dem. towards a water trough labeled County Option. In the second image, Rep. Bryan is sitting on the ground with hoof marks on his chest. The mule stands in the distance, smiling.
Rep. Bryan was a leader in the prohibitionist county option movement to enable counties to regulate the sale of alcoholic beverages, but had failed to make it a part of the Democratic platform.
