Keihan Subway in Kyoto.

So much nicer and cleaner than my own country.

This is the result of the strict rule of no food and drinks in *subway trains. So its clean and odorless making train commuting pleasant for all. In my country, people drink and eat in trains despite having the same rule, so its less clean and more smelly.

The irony is that the people in my country blame our train companies for failing to ensure train cleanliness when the fault is their own. Same as tourists here in Japan who complain of not being able to eat and yet enjoy the end result you see in this picture.

*You can eat in long distance trains like Shinkansen, Express and Sightseeing trains. That is why such trains take longer time to be readied for boarding as the train staffs need to clean them first. Unlike normal subways with higher frequency.
