SUMMARY: Keith has been the highest ranking student ever since 2nd grade. Now that he’s a high school senior, he does his best to keep his grades the highest that they could possibly be, since he’s going to start applying to colleges. Although, a new student easily works his own way up the food chain, getting high grades and participating in a lot of extracurricular activities—being noticed more and more by teachers, leaving Keith behind on the playing field. Of course, the top student begs to differ. So in order to keep his spot as the highest honor in his batch, he needs to push down the new student lower and lower. How does he do this? Easy—Keith befriends him.

Title: Kink Shaming the Universe

Warnings: Be prepared to be pretty frustrated with Shiro and Keith. Keith makes threats, terrible joke(s). Honestly pretty fluffy.  Summary:  One day, Lance decides that Keith needs a new phone. So he, as Keith's best friend in the whole wide world, takes care of the old problem. Now armed with a new phone, Keith sends a series of texts that accidentally end up in the wrong hands. Despite the fact that Keith sent some particularly angry words towards the stranger, they are able to become friends and Keith soon comes to consider him a friend. Huge thank you to @fiery-mullet for hosting the @keithbabybang !!! And to my amazing partner @parslynne for sticking by me during the event and for being such a huge help! I’m also very sorry for how late this is OTL, but I hope you enjoy.

So this year I participated in the @keithbabybang event as a writer, and got paired with phenomenal artist @radicalhoodie. I give them lots of thanks for choosing my fic to make art for. Go check out their art here!

Thank you to the moderators of this event; I had a lot of fun and I’m glad I got to write something for Keith’s birthday.

Hap Borth, Keith! Without further ado, here is my fic:

The planet they were on was beautiful and lush with flora and fauna; the sky was a pretty salmon pink, and there was even a scenic beach. Vendors called out their wares, and tourists went to and fro, marvelling at both the natural beauties as well as the man made ones, which largely came in the form of excellent hotels and sprawling mansions.

It was also very, very hot that day, and the majority of Team Voltron did not appreciate extreme heat, especially not just days after they had defeated a powered-up, power-crazy prince. Besides, they needed to keep their energy levels up for their journey back to Earth. Thus, everyone had retreated into the equivalent of a penthouse suite in one of the many seaside hotels. Being famous had its perks.

“Oh my God.”

Hunk’s incredulous whisper predictably went unheard by the rest of the team. Normally, he would let it go and go back to relaxing, because hey, everyone definitely deserved it after all the hell they had been through, as well as all the hell they would probably be thrown into while making their way to Earth, but he couldn’t do that this time. It would be physically painful to not let everyone know what he had just seen.

“Oh my GOD.”

Everyone looked up, confused. Even Kosmo, Keith’s magical space wolf, looked up at him from his place on the ground. Good, now he had their attention.

“What’s up, buddy?” And Lance’s question had just given him the perfect segway to gesture dramatically at the space Keith had vacated moments before. The confusion visibly ratcheted up a few notches.

“Uh...we know Keith left the room. He does that. He’s always done that whenever we have downtime. He’ll be back before you know it, bud; he’s never gone long.” While it was sweet that Lance was trying to be reassuring, he was completely missing the point.

“No, I know. Keith’s like...a cat. A slightly feral cat that sometimes needs alone time. Right, Shiro?”

Shiro nodded, still slightly bemused but willing to see what Hunk was trying to say.

“But look. Look what he left behind!” He couldn’t contain himself anymore and walked over to Keith’s former spot, then triumphantly presented what he had been trying to build up to the entire time: Keith’s fanny packs.
