Look. You have in your hands, right now, an incredible opportunity to touch the world. What you hold is immense power to reach the billions, via the road called “Social Media”. What would you like them to know, with your pictures you post, your words you write, your videos you film? That you’re good-looking? That you’re smart? That you’re funny? That you’re kind? That you’re an amazing human being that’s deemed worthy of attention and love and all good gifts that the heavens has to offer? What if I tell you that you’re already all of the above, and more? That you’re loved. That you’re special. That you have something that ONLY YOU can offer to this world. That you have no need to earn all the above from walking down this road. That you don’t need to prove to anyone, not even to yourself, that you are a beautifully and fearfully-made masterpiece. What if you post not from a place of seeking, but instead from a position of possessing and offering? How would that change what you post? How would that change how you view what you have in your hands? How would that change how you live? You are in for an amazing 2019! He remembers your dreams. Every child-like, seemingly insignificant dream, He holds them steady in the palms of His hands, and keeps them ever before Him. He never forgets, even when we do. Such is the Father who wants our best, more than we want our best. — This was a full circle moment for me. When I was a young Christian, I remember sweatily baring my heart out in small room in the dusk of many a night. I had many dreams, many of which are coming back to life for me this season. This is one of them. Waking up on the morn before this portion of the trip, I remember that as a 18/19 y.o kid sharing that one day I wanted to praise and worship God on a mountain (no not Bukit Timah)(but yes I’ve done that), and I remember that it was also because of this song. “Did you feel the mountains tremble? Did you hear the oceans roar?” Back then, this song bore no remarkable significance other than me being a kid wanting to sing to God a song having the word mountain in it while on an actual mountain. I’m not kidding on this 😂 So as I stood there and sang over His chosen people and land, overlooking such a vast expanse of open space that brings such sweet release to a Singaporean’s soul, these many years of adventures dawned on me, some of passioned destiny, and many of joyful exuberance born out of child-like desires to simply enjoy this life He has given the way He intends it. This was a full circle moment. This was the culmination of a dream and the seed for many more. You are who You are, and You are so faithful. xiii. “You don’t choose family, family chooses you.” Thank you for choosing me, again, and again, and again. Thank you for showing me that cell group (or for some of you out there, life group or small group), is not mainly about achieving objectives and goals and numbers, but about living life together. When the goal is a process in itself, then the very act of coming tgt becomes the summation of its purpose. Everything else is in overflow of that. Heb 10:24-25 “And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.” Thank you for teaching me what commitment looks like. Thank you for showing me what valuing one another looks like. A wise brother posed an interested question: “If Jesus had a social media account, how would it look like? What would He post? What would be in His feed?” Would He post selfies? What kind of hashtags would He use? How would He phrase His captions? Would He upload 1min snippets of His preachings? I don’t know if He would post anything, if at all, He never was the type to self-advertise or do anything that would take the glory away from His Father. I do know though, that the amount of posts He would be tagged in would be massive, as everywhere He went, lives change and people would spread the word that the Messiah has come. I know that His account would only follow one other account, His Father’s. And that would mean His feed would only show His Father’s heart, and the Father would always post about the adventures of Jesus being about His Father’s business. How would Jesus use social media to affect this world? From that perspective, how can we follow in His example? For now, all I can think of is to tell of His story in me, as well of those whose lives are interwoven with mine. #keiwview

viii. — There are only two real decisions, decisions you don’t take back, in your life: Marriage, and baptism. Not to say that these decisions can’t be literally undone, but rather, you make these decisions with the conviction and commitment to stay it through. A declaration of passion to the world that “I HAVE DECIDED” and your word is your bond and that even the thought to break your bond is a foreign, even non-existent one. It’s just not an option. The power of these pure-hearted intentions and unadulterated decisions reap for the decider a harvest of purpose and destiny. When you’re absolutely sure and when you know that you know that you know, obstacles become but mosquitoes buzzing around. When you’re borderline stubborn and obsessed with going through it, you’ll experience this sense of “KAIROS”, being where you’re supposed to be, doing what you’re supposed to do. When Abba knows that you know that you know and that you’re SURE of how He’s prompting you, that’s when and how signs and wonders and miracles happen. He goes all in with you! We were never meant to follow signs and wonders. Signs and wonders were meant to follow us! When you focus on His HABITATION, you will get His VISITATION. We don’t chase after where His light shines because we ARE His light! That’s one reason why baptism is so divine. You’re declaring that you know that you know that my saviour loves and He lives in me, and that you acknowledge, welcome, and celebrate His Habitation in you! No longer a guest to His visitations, but a Son in His Habitation. — #keiwview

1. “Open Space” - Housefires #keiwSongStory If you could see through the door of your heart, what would you find inside? I used to see this room, with furniture of certain shapes and in certain arrangements, seemingly where they are “needed” to be. I had this throne with plush royal red velvet padding for Him to sit on. In the middle of this room, there was this vase on a pedestal that was up to my waist. Every time I messed up, every time I slipped and fell, every time I did something wrong, this vase fell, and shattered into pieces. He would, time and again, pick up and piece it together “kintsugi” style: repairing the broken pieces together with lacquer mixed with powdered gold. This made the vase more beautiful; my slips and falls reflect His divine compassion and grace, without which I’d be in pieces. But this thought often bugged me: “I’m not perfect, I’m bound to slip up again and again, how many times before this entire vase is just made up of gold?! I don’t want to disappoint you with that...” . Last year was when I realised, this arrangement in my heart was not His; I still held the keys. But when I resolved to give Him the keys to my heart, to put down my way and my thoughts for His ways and His thoughts... the room disappeared, vase, throne and all. What remained, was this vast expanse of greenery, wind, blue skies, rivers... An open space. — A quote by C.S. Lewis describes this perfectly: “Imagine yourself as a living house. God comes in to rebuild that house. At first, perhaps, you can understand what He is doing... But presently He starts knocking the house about in a way that hurts abominably and does not seem to make any sense... The explanation is that He is building quite a different house from the one you thought of... you thought you were being made into a decent little cottage: but He is building a palace. He intends to come and live in it Himself.” — #keiwview

vii. — I find that if I don’t spend enough time with Him, I don’t make wise decisions. It’s not a matter of taking enough time to consider or thinking about it from the right perspective. To me, there is a direct correlation and causation between living well and spending time with Him. In His presence is fullness of life and life abundantly, and He, just as much as we, wants to be with us every moment of this earthly life. That’s why Jesus came, to re-establish the connection that was once lost but now found. That’s why He no longer limited His presence to His temple; the veil was torn by His Spirit, that He may reside in the hearts of His beloveds. We are His chosen dwelling place. And where He dwells, there is life. And life... begets life. I originally didn’t want to write this. As much as writing everyday helps to build a flow, my mind wasn’t thinking right today. My heart was trying to stand on its own again. I wanted to sleep and play Rules of Survival (lol). Again, I don’t like to talk about my private life, much less have it all put out there on social media. But, there’s a certain freedom in sharing about certain struggles, in certain seasons to a certain audience. I guess this is a reminder to myself that as I’m spending time in my mancave, it’s not just to unwind and relax, but to re-align. Telling my mind to shut up and listen, and posturing my heart that it’s okay to be on my knees. Many unspoken battles are won through bended knees. With that context, I went to Him. I went to what truly fills and truly loves and truly gives peace and joy and all that characterises life in its fullness. Life begets life. Right after, the flow came back. It’s okay to have off-days, we all have it. Know your source and go to Him. In His presence, He fills you with His life, and life begets life, for you to give life into this world, and as you pour out your life through creative expression in work or art, life begets life begets life begets life. Nothing you do or go through is pointless. Everything has meaning. YOU have meaning. — #keiwview

vi. 💃🏻💃🏻: @electropopsicles @_heytherejojo Thank you for being an example of how obedience in art, looks like. “When God gives one man the prompting to create something, it carries His divine nature. An entire nation was healed from looking at what one man, Moses, made (bronze snake on a pole) under His prompting!” — You carry within you His breath of life. Different from the others, only to us He gave His breath, this creative ache. Art has no purpose or meaning for animals, not that I know of! Business, engineering, the sciences are what gives the means to life, but the arts, poetry, painting, dancing, singing, music, they are what gives the meaning to life. You hold in your hands purpose, your hearts burns with destiny. What you create may not change the world, but it can change one’s entire world. In Ecc 1:9 it says that there is nothing new under the sun, which makes some sense to me now as I’m typing this as to why most of my creative juice flows in the night 😂. With that, be released from the expectations and weight of having to create something “original” in order to feel value in what you do! What God is looking for isn’t originality, but AUTHENTICITY in what He prompts you to do! He’s not looking for the “new”, nor the most technically proficient, He’s looking for and is MOST PLEASED WITH the REAL! The one who gives the TRUEST INTERPRETATION of how He’s speaking to you! The truest expression of your heart unto Him! That is what pleases Him! That is what changes the world! Even if it’s “merely”... a bronze snake on a pole. — What you have, what God has given you, only YOU have in such a “You-grade” quality. He made you good. — #keiwview
