Again, a bit of a late response to Sims Hardin's April 27th "Best of Punk" article on Bandcamp. You should really look through the article, there's some good stuff there: Dead Finks, Suitor, and Winston Hightower all were great listens, but The Goobs & My Friend Cowboy "Happy Loving Couples" gets the nod.
The cassette title refers to the great song off Joe Jackson's debut album, but this sounds nothing like the snarling punk of early Jackson. Rather, this sounds more like the lo-fi genius of Cleaners From Venus or The Worrynauts. The Goobs & My Friend Cowboy are Logan Adam and Carson Brom. This cassette is the first from Painty Pot which is the new label from Kellen Baker (Good Flying Birds).
