I’m gonna say something kinda controversial, but out of all the forms of advertisements, product placement is probably A: the most likely to convince me to buy something, and B: least annoying.
Like, I know nothing about resin or terrazzo, but if I’ve seen enough product placement for Total Boat on Evan & Katelyn’s YouTube channel that if I ever needed to work with some, I’d probably buy that brand.
Lately I’ve been looking to move away from Holo Taco’s products, and a fav nail YouTuber of mine, Kelli Marissa, often uses ORLY’s Bonder Base. They even sent a massive refill jug for free because, hey, that’s free product placement. Now I’m considering switching to ORLY Bonder Base once my Holo Taco Long Lasting Base Coat runs out.
Genuinely, well-placed product placement is a millions times better and more successful than any other form of advertisement, to me; and it’s crazy that companies still chose to use intrusive videos and pop-up ads that annoy the piss outta people and upset a decent amount of them enough to actually prevent them from buying the product.
