🎮 - what new mechanics would you like in animal crossing?

i think it would be really cool if we had some sort of visual friendship meter for each villager/resident? not quite like a level in pocket camp, i think that might be too much. but i think about story of seasons (harvest moon) and how they have a flower or heart meter that changes colours. and i think it would be really great to know exactly how much friendship we have with a villager in order to get their picture for example! the game most likely stores this value as a hidden number, but even if we simply had a menu that we could go to, in order to see it, i think i’d really like that! and at each colour/value increase something special could happen with that villager! not sure if others would like it, or it’s just me, but i think it would add much more texture to the game... because villagers could talk to you differently depending on your friendship with them. like in the gamecube game, villagers start off unfriendly with you, until they warm up to you. it doesn’t quite have to be as excessive as that game was, but just overall a dialogue re-write would be great too because new leaf got a bit stale in terms of what villagers say to you (and felt very much like each villager personality type just said the same things).

🐱 A species of animal you wish you had on your island?

I’m going for a dense woodsy/forest theme for my island at the moment so I’m trying to ask villagers who have realistic animal colors and forest type animals to come. (with the exception of Sherb and Judy, just because Sherb was one of my first villagers and i love him and Judy cause i know i can find a good home for her somewhere else eventually) so at the moment I’m looking for wolf, eagle, and duck characters, specifically Whitney, Apollo, and Bill.
