today was a little rough coming off of the holiday weekend; everyone i've talked to within the past 24 hours is exhausted. my mental health has been... questionable... so i took tonight off from any human interaction to have a bit of a self-care evening. turns out, attending a fairly large festival followed by a busy gathering will drain my social battery like nobody's business.

banana bread and new houseplants!
this weekend featured the celtic festival, which included many beautiful celebrations of tradition and heritage that i don't belong to, but my partner does! delicious food and drink, and many fantastic live music events!

we've got a ton of huge projects at work that i may or may not be enjoying. to top it all off, they may or many not need to be finished before the end of the month. *sigh* i've started penpalling again, which is all fun and games until the postal system decides that one stamp isn't enough to post a regular letter... the farmer's market in my town begins this week!!! due to my working hours, i won't be able to attend the wednesday market, but i'll definitely be at the saturday one! i've been crocheting bags non-stop to avoid all the unnecessary plastic that comes about during that time.
