One of my favourite characters like only trait is being actively suicidal so it’s really hard to see content about them that’s not about that.

I need more people to start acknowledging that even if Ken DID forgive Shinjiro earlier and none of 10/4 happened, that wouldnt remove the suicide part of his plan.

The reason why he didn’t do it after Shinjiro died was because he gave his life and explicitly told Ken to live. Shinjiro wasn’t the reason why Ken wanted to die, Ken wanted to die because he missed his mom. The reason he didn’t kill himself before getting revenge was that he felt his mom would be disappointed in him for doing nothing at all and just giving up.

Kens revenge plan was focused more on justifying himself in his wish to die and making himself deserving of being with his mom than an actual feeling of hatred for Shinjiro.

The way it went was moreover Mom dies-missing mom-feeling suicidal-feeling underserving-making something to live for-revenge plot.

Where the revenge plot came from was Ken starting to get mad at no one knowing the truth rather than actually feeling something about Shinjiro, eventually after facing so many people who didn’t know the truth he saw it as injustice and the anger was faced at the person who made it happen without allowing anyone to know the truth.

Taking away the revenge plot still leaves him suicidal and wanting his mom, and if he came to forgiving Shinjiro or moving past his revenge plot because he thinks his mom wouldn’t want it it leaves him feeling as though he can finally join his mom and committing suicide.

Should Shinjiro have decided not to tell Ken to live for himself he would’ve killed himself after that instead of coming to terms with the fact that no one would know the truth and he has to live with that and move on.

This one is an older ken visiting an older Naoto, I just sketched it for fun. Isn’t it strange how the pics you care about the least look the best?

When the Majority of SEES graduates, or gets scouted in Yukari’s case, Junpei and Fuuka are left to do Highschool, as Ken enters middle school, then they graduate the year after that, and ken is alone in middle school. Gekkoukan HS is apparently in charge of all these Orphans, all these orphans are wards of the school. Ken was likely in a boarding school dormitory with a den mother and other orphans after the SEES dorm closed. After seeing so much death and the edge of an apocalypse in 2009, having to return to a dorm to be with normie middleschoolers made him feel really old, but he tried to make the best of it. Soon he was faced with entering high school, and after knowing how messed Gekkou was, Ken was stressed and nervous about high school life.

He reached out to SEES for tips, and to his surprise, Mitsuru snd Akihiko came to give him emotional support and tips for getting through high school. Mitsuru told him to join student council, Akihiko told him to join a sport. So he did both! And he had a great high school experience.

Being the student council president was really rewarding for him, he was already in good with a lot of the orphans of Gekkoukan, but then he needed to take care of a lot of the student body, including the transfer students (enter Shiho?), and he had a lot of fun being an ally to everyone.

He got a soccer scholarship, and decided that he wanted his first job was to be a paramedic. He works really good under pressure, and can work quickly, and after losing so many teammates, it felt good to save some lives and learn skills that would help him save lives in the future. He continued on in college until he got scouted for professional soccer, then he left the medical field to just do soccer and Shadow Ops work full-time.

For several years and had a lot of fun with soccer and became a local celebrity in the Iwatodai area. Though now that ken is 28ish, he’s feeling that the soccer chapter of his life is closing, and he wants to go back to school full-time to become a veterinarian.

Art I drew of SamuraiBlue, Olympian Ken Amada :) I imagine he kept up with soccer and got a scholarship, and got scouted. He’s really good at bicycle kicks and aerial defense, and is very speedy due to his special training. While he didn’t want Mitsuru to pay for his college, he doesn’t mind letting them sponsor him, which leaves more space for athletes who have less connections to get access to Nike and Adidas and whatnot. He’ll also get the KG to sponsor his athlete friends if they don’t have adequate sponsorship.
