I’m so excited! Tomorrow my boyfriend and I are going to The Traditional Martial Arts School to sit in on their Ken Jutsu (spelling it like it’s written on the school’s website!) class to get a feel for how it works. After we go see Age of Ultron and have dinner. I’ve always wanted to learn how to sword fight. And I understand Ken Jutsu is more ritualistic than actual sword fighting, but there’s a certain grace and beauty to it that I really appreciate in the form and movement.
No one fights with real swords nowadays anyway, so a more ritualistic approach gives the whole situation more meaning to me. Plus, my boyfriend wants to learn as well so it’ll be a great bonding experience. But we do need a little help. We were doing our own research, but every little bit of extra info helps. Thanks in advanced! Where would one go to get a good quality bokken sword? Is there a difference between bokkens for a beginner and a more advanced person? How much did it cost?
