Thank you Ken. My colleague Danial Soma, manager of the Sydney gallery, has been talking with Ken Done as to his participation in a Berlin exhibition in 2020. Ken, critically derided by many in the art world - those with a smaller, diminished view of what Australian art should be- is without doubt internationally one of Australia’s most broadly recognised artists. Ken Done, in time will be considered one of this countries most significant contemporary artists from the 1980s. His creative and on going abilities, through so many iterations is just simply astonishing. Oh and by the way, Ken did Merch (merchandising) decades before today’s artist’s understood that there has been a complete implosion of any notion of High & Low culture. Brilliantly ahead of the times he is.
