In which I remember my first ever TF2 OC and decided she'd be a good subject to doodle tonight.

This is Kenina DeGroot, whom I wrote as Demo's grandmother.

That feel when you meet your grandson for the first time ever since he was a baby and neither of you has any idea what to say. Especially since he just learned he was abandoned by his birth parents out of family tradition and has no idea how to process this, so you two awkwardly sit together.

I’ve been working on a Demo-centric fic, decided to mention him having a grandmother, and now she’s a full-fledged OC!

I’d like to draw more of her someday.

Some facts about her are below the cut.

Her name’s Kenina and she was born into the DeGroot family. As a result, she knows the family trade of demolitions but realized she was horrid at it, so she traded bombs for the sword. She’s Demo’s paternal grandmother, having outlived her husband and her son. 

Kenina was the one who taught Demo how to sword fight since it’s important to her that she pass on this art to someone in the family. It was also an attempt to bond with Demo, who had a lot of mixed emotions after his biological parents found him.
