i'm so glad you said this. i liked him a lot when i read the book, too and this version of him is really just... not the same. it's really disappointing.

it’s really frustrating! like there were definitely moments in the book when i was like KREIZLER GODDAMMIT

but it’s not moments in the tv show

it’s every scene

he’s adversarial to everyone in the show in a way he’s not in the book, he’s awkward in the book and says the wrong thing sometimes and gets nasty with sara during the [redacted] conversation[s] but he’s not mean to his only friends for no goddamn reason
