well it’s october aka halloween month aka the Perfect excuse for me to talk about the monster au! so enjoy this list of arbitrary monster things

before Mari fully knew about the monster stuff, she’d always comment on Dia’s fangs and say she looked like a “cute little vampire!”

Hanamaru’s lycanthropy is a family curse

You figured out Riko was siren fairly quickly, and whenever Riko tries to ask how she knew You always attributes it to her “Sixth Sea Sense”

You has long since found her selkie skin, but doesn’t immediately return to the ocean because she wants to stay with Chika (and later everyone else)

Ruby and Dia are awful about drinking enough blood to stay healthy and can get sick rather easily (especially Dia as she tends to overwork herself on top of this) 

You gets really excited when learns about Kanan being a mermaid, and though Riko is also happy to have another ocean creature around she keeps thinking about the Three Mermaids thing and Dying

Kanan is actually kinda self conscious about her mermaid form because she isn’t pretty like the ones you see in fantasy movies, but Mari is quick to remind her how cool her big shark tail is, and Dia will always show her fangs and say “We match,” whenever Kanan is worried about her sharp teeth

Hanamaru’s werewolf form is much more doglike than anything else, and where she doesn’t need to hunt since Ruby and her family know to get her food, she mostly just lazes around on people’s laps and does cute dog things and it’s Great

heaaar me out highschool drama club au.

Umi (the Stressed stage manager) and Kotori (the costume designer obvs) drag Honoka in to help with lights and the general ‘climbing up to high places’ type of backstage work bc they know she likes climbing stuff and they Need Help.

and it’s great Until honoka slides down from the rafters one day and gets her first glimpse at the play’s leads; Anju, Erena, and Tsubasa (the super hot, vaguely poly Gay Drama Kids that everyone has a crush on. bc how could u not.) Tsubasa takes an Immediate liking to her which Erena and Anju Immediately notice and. they love to tease poor Tsu so they start flirting with Honoka too.

tiny gay little Honk was Not Prepared to be flirted with by not one, not two, but Three really pretty girls- and they’re Relentless Umi like looks away whenever she sees them heading towards Honoka bc it’s too gay to watch (how many times has Tsubasa gotten real close and like tucked a strand of hair back behind Honoka’s ear? too many.)

but like eventually they do start hanging out a bunch and Honoka memorizes half their lines because she pays so much attention to them during practice and they run lines together a lot and tbh tbh Anju is the first one to kiss her- it’s only on the cheek but Honoka goes bright red and speedily retreats back up to the rafters.

Erena kisses her second, also not on the lips but it’s The Best (they’re on their way into school and poor Ere is half asleep so before the three part ways for their classes she ruffles Honoka’s hair and kisses her forehead.)

Tsubasa is the last but the first to kiss her on the lips. she’s running lines with Honoka, just the two of them, and they’re practicing the scene where Tsubasa and Erena’s characters kiss. They both accidentally get really into it- there’s some like actual tension with how well they’re playing the characters it’s so good- and they’re all up in each others’ faces and this is where they kiss, so they kiss. Tsubasa drags Honoka down by the front of her hoodie and before she knows what she’s doing Honoka has a hand in Tsubasa’s hair and they let their scripts drop and scatter because it’s not about characters anymore it’s about them

and then they pull back, breathing hard still holding onto each other. Honoka gulps and flushes up to her ears, but Tsubasa just laughs and says “You were good. Maybe you’d be better on stage than in the rafters.”
