⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Prologue: rated G
Chapter One: Rated X
Drew gets his sister Viola to bring lunch to his best friend, so we all know where this is headed! Especially when she threatens to poison it! Instant enemies to lovers bickering ensues. And then she stays at their house. And THEN her brother leaves them alone, without telling either of them?! I mean, it's *chefs kiss*. The slight mention of their past and cause of their fallout is full of so many morning questions than answers. I am SO glad we didn't know right away! It's been a while since I've read an enemies to lovers with this much ENEMY! Especially with childish revenge behavior. Stealing towels, sleeping with people they shouldn't, blasting the Mary Poppins soundtrack, setting off the fire alarm, interrupting each other. But then, Travis protects her and takes care of her. The first kiss came out of left field! Not to mention christening the kitchen. And then, the switch from enemies when the pictures arrived. The way Travis went into hardcore protective mode. The sexual tension that went back and forth, up and down. And then, FINALLY. And oh man was it worth that wait. Especially when they get a visit from a cop. But of course, then the past comes out. I was not in favor that the passionate scene was skipped and not detailed. I needed that just as bad as they did! Oh, and also there's all this drama with Travis and a co-worker/hookup, and Drew and his long distance girlfriend. And honestly, all that drama is just as good as the enemies to lovers build up! But I don't want to give away any of the juicy drama! You're gonna want to have the second book handy though! I've never started a book so fast IN MY LIFE!
My Favorite Quotes:
•"I’ll make sure to look you in the eye when I do it."
•"You should know better than to play mind games with a princess, King."
•"Ask me again." "Ask you what again?" "Ask me again why I kissed you last night." "Why'd you kiss me last night?" "Because I couldn’t take another minute of not having the taste of you on my lips."
•"You said I didn’t want you. That’s the stupidest thing I've ever heard you say."

it’s been a hell of a night, and kenny can’t wait to just throw his bag down and settle in for a nap. his eyes are brimmed red, stinging with an exhaustion that reaches to the bone. he’s used to it, and probably should get used to it ( sixteen hour surgeries anyone? ) but he can’t say that he’s not excited to rest. when he shows up to his new room assignment, he pushes open the door lazily, bag in hand. “ oh, of fucking course. ” he’s already rolling his eyes when he sees fox. “ the storm didn’t take me out so i guess gordon’s gotta test me somehow. ” @goldcndays

My Week with the Bad Boy by Brooke Cumberland and Lyra Parish cover review! Coming out on November 2nd!
The author duet known as Kennedy Fox is back, this time around with their real names!
Summary:
Never trust a man who answers the front door wearing nothing more than a pair of low-cut jeans and a panty-melting smirk. That should’ve been my first sign. I write about guys just like him for a living—sexy and charming, yet reluctant to get into a serious relationship. His body screams sex appeal, but his condescending personality makes him a classic fuckboy. And I want nothing to do with that. Writing romance novels comes with its perks—traveling, meeting new people, creating characters from the voices in my head—but Ethan Rochester enters my life and rearranges all my preconceived notions about writing what inspires you. One week is all it took. One week to realize that not everything is as it seems. One week with the bad boy, and I wanted more.
Checkmate: This Is Dangerous by Kennedy Fox
5/5 stars
Official Synopsis:
Logan Knight is a real life knight in shining armor. A detective godsend in a sleek black suit has me thinking less than secretive thoughts. Brooding and mysterious, he's the kind of guy every girl instantly notices. Between his seductive smirk and charming good looks, it's no wonder I can't help the way he makes me feel whenever I'm near him. Too bad he's unavailable—or so he says. He thinks I'm a do-gooder who shouldn't get involved with a guy like him. His past is messy and relationships just add to that. He insists the timing is all wrong and he's devoted to his career, but I don't buy that excuse for a second. I see the way his body tenses and his jaw ticks every time another guy is around me. He just won't admit it, but I'm more determined than ever to show him what he's missing. I'm a devoted animal rescuer and I'll risk everything to save them, but when a dramatic turn of events puts both our lives at risk, I'm positive Logan will write me off for good. But when he asks for my help with a personal crisis, I know it's my last chance to finally show him I can handle anything he throws my way—messy past and all. He might think he has me all figured out, but I'll prove him wrong no matter what he thinks. This game of push and pull has me running in circles. One wrong move and we could both lose. Checkmate, Knight.
My thoughts:
The only two things that I love more than donuts are Kennedy Fox books and dogs. So to say that I was excited to read TiD after finding out that Kayla loves both DOGS AND DONUTS is an understatement.
As most of you know, I began a slow decent into Kennedy Fox oblivion shortly after their first book, This Is War, was released. I devoured that book in a matter of hours only to discover that the second book had not released yet and was left to try and pull myself out of the slump that ensued. You would think that I had learned my lesson after THAT cliff hanger, but nope. I continue to punish myself by reading KF books as they’re released INSTEAD of waiting until the series is complete before binging.
That being said, as much as I have loved every book that Kennedy Fox has written, TiD is my new favorite! As soon as this book was available to me, I started it. It had all of my favorite elements from KF books; the humor, steaminess, and plot were all amazing! I loved being able to watch Logan slowly fall in love with Kayla as I slowly fell in love with their relationship! Every aspect of this book was well written, including the cliffhanger. WHICH, LIKE, IS THE WORST ONE YET. I seriously read the very last page of this book 4 times just to make sure I was understanding what was really happening. Actually the more I think about it, the more angry I become. OKAY TIME FOR ME TO STOP BEFORE I BECOME IRRATIONAL AND START SENDING THREATENING MESSAGES TO THE KENNEDY FOX FACEBOOK PAGE hahahaha.

Title: Taming Him(Bishop Brothers #1)
Author: Kennedy Fox
Pages:396
Synopsis: Alex Bishop is your typical cowboy. Charming, sexy, and wears a panty-melting smirk. Working on the ranch helped build his solid eight-pack and smoking body. He's every girl's wet fantasy, and he knows it too. Alex doesn't follow the rules of your typical playboy bachelor. After wining and dining his dates and giving them the best night of their lives, he always sends flowers and calls the next day—even if it's to say, let's just be friends. His mama taught him manners after all, and his Southern blood knows how to be a gentleman. Still, that isn’t enough to tame the wildest of the Bishop brothers. River Lancaster has finally met the man of her dreams. Too bad after six months of romantic bliss, she finds out he's married. With a broken heart and blind rage, she books herself a ticket to Key West, Florida. Tired of cheaters and liars, she’s set on escaping to forget he ever existed. Who needs a man when there's an all-you-can-drink margarita bar, anyway? That's what she tells herself until she bumps into the right guy who can make all those bad memories disappear. Even if it's only temporarily. Two weeks on the beach is what they both need. No strings attached, no expectations, no broken hearts. Too bad the universe has other plans—one that'll change the entire course of their lives in just nine short months.
