i feel like the combined talents of eric kripke and sera gamble was fearsome and gorgeous. and then after s2 they started barreling towards the apocalypse and a lot of the americana feel got lost in the shuffle

oh my gosh.

you couldn't have said it any better i wish i could reblog this or something. the "americana feel" that's exactly what i mean. like, driving around the country, getting a look at each town/state--it was so refreshing and had this feel of liberation. to be honest, i just didn't dig the apocalypse story line. the myth arc just went way towards the angels and i wanted everything to be like, swamp monsters and scary, icky things. just 2 guys with guns driving around the country and hunting in the dark. i just wanted that :/
