Just binged Kuromukuro again. It’s been a minute but I still enjoy the show just as much as the first time I watched it.
Kuromukuro is technically my first anime, definitely not the best first anime but man does that ending (no spoilers) still haunt me. Every time I watch this show I get so much nostalgia. It’s the only mecha anime I have ever watched and I’m proud to say that. Also totally not surprising that Inuyasha quickly became one of my favorite anime after watching this back in the day.
I’m really sad that the U.S. doesn’t have access to the light novel adaption (please let me know if you have found a way to read it) but honestly the show is good just as it is. If you have not watched Kuromukuro it’s available on Netflix rn, it’s totally not good and I know I am completely blinded by nostalgia but the ending will get you emotional.
Oh and the sci-fi and lore are fantastic tho, like they juggle a lot of story beats and most of them land perfectly but the concept for the story you’d think execution would be terrible. It isn’t. Also can’t believe the epilogue for the show is already 3 years old.
7/10 Any other Kuromukuro fans out there?
