hi jesties hellow happy friday. i'm going to show you this fuck ass digicam from the early 2000s i got
let us greet the Kyocera Finecam SL300R kindly:
at first glance it's nothing special. at second glance you notice the viewfinder is at the top. huh, that's weird, you all invariably think to yourselves. how's that work? like this:
this shit folds!!! this shit is split in twain!!! this shit is a beautiful example of superfluous Y2K design sensibilities!!!
it does serve a significant utility tho- it can also flip backwards, providing you with one of the first selfie-friendly cameras ever made. depending on your age i'm sure you remember the terrible trial and error method of selfie taking that plagued the 2000s/2010s before front facing cameras were widespread on phones. so many wasted half cut off photos could have been avoided if only this flip ass cam's design had become widespread.
it also takes really nice pictures! it's great at capturing tone and color for such a lil guy, though the focus does leave a lot to be desired when the flash is off. here are some tests i took, including one where i'm saying "OW" because i forgot to turn the flash off when trying the selfie mode for the first time:
thank you for beholding my camera. the moral of this post is Please Make More Technology That Flips
