Timeline of a Trans-girl
I’m finally beginning to get prepped for surgery from a medical perspective. As a result, I have been asked a lot of questions about my history. This is what I have been able to come up with from memory and correlating different events with my school and work history.
Early to mid 90s - Dressed in my mother’s clothes for the first time as a very young child(3-6 years old)
2007-2009 - Acquired a P.O. Box for the purpose of shopping at Victoria’s Secret. Became an VS Angel cardholder
2011 January - Moved into my first apartment and started wearing femme clothes in public.
2012 September - Informed my mother, brother, and best friend that I wore femme clothes. Did not identify as female or trans.
2015 Summer - Started dressing Femme full-time
2016 Halloween - Went to Halloween party at work with the girls as one member of the PowerPuff Girls. By this point, I had started identifying as a woman and was socially accepted as such by my coworkers.
Early to mid 2017 - Accidentally threatened to sue my employer when I declared my gender as female within the company’s internet based HR system.
2017 November - Started my first job as a declared female.
2017 December 29 - Visited Planned Parenthood for the first time to start HRT.
2018 January 4 - Took my first Estradiol and Spironolactone pill.
2018 Summer - Obtained paperwork to change my gender on my legal documents, performed a name change in the court, updated everything but my birth certificate(Tennessee (T_T), nuff said)
2019 April 26 - Saw a primary care physician that specializes in helping trans people for the first time.
