Hi, do you know what happened with the schedule this season? Why are so many fixtures on work days and in the early afternoon?
A lot of clubs share stadiums and are not first in the pecking order for use. Most WSL fixtures are worked around the fixtures of men’s football which often falls on weekend afternoons. So WSL games are then left with weekend evenings or midweek slots.
Then there is the live TV coverage. BT Sport can only give the WSL weekend evenings or midweek slots. So games are either being scheduled for weekend evenings or midweek in case BT Sport later decides to give them live coverage, or those which are scheduled at convenient times for fans end up being moved to weekend evenings or midweek anywayfor BT Sport.
As far as I can tell the only midweek afternoon games which have been scheduled are falling on public holidays.
You're so beautiful. Oui. How are you so confident? Well, it's not useful to anyone for me to be ashamed of myself. They want us to hate our bodies. It's how they control us.
if you're bored this easter monday and missing the wtf plotlines of fortitude you should check out jordskott. it's a swedish crime drama. it's ten episodes, seven have aired and are available online with (sometimes dodgy) subtitles. I think itv has the uk rights so maybe there'll be proper ones in the future. It starts out pretty straight forward with a missing child but gets weird quickly. the opening credits should have been a clue really haha.
(Sorry, I just saw this.)
Full disclosure: I… picked up Fortitude again. I was bored, okay?? It’s still a massive gore fest, but at least they’ve finally realized what causes the murder spree. Let me know if you want me to bring you up to speed on its WTFness in more detail.
I noticed you blogging about this new Swedish show and was intrigued! I looooove me some Scandinavian tv. Might give it a go, thanks for the rec :)
don't watch fortitude. it's still ridiculous but also totally disgusting. there's a solid three minutes of disgusting goriness that made me go 'how is this even allowed on tv' and i was barely watching. only good thing lady police wives gone partying (dudes what dudes). I have been traumatized. I can never go back. Where can I sue sky. where was my contains majorly absolutely a trillions times upsetting scenes warning.
YIKES.
Thanks for the warning, dear! I'm so sorry you had to go through this *hugs* *shows you a slideshow of unicorns and rainbows and puppies and kittens*
That's it, I'm giving up on this show completely. Beautiful snowy landscapes and lady police wives are just not worth it.
