Tbh I’m not a huge fan of the association between Red Lives and being physically cold that I see in a fair amount of Traffic fics. It’s a cool headcanon fs! And I understand that it exists as an allusion to how red lives are so close to death

But to me there’s something about proximity to death that just begets heat and energy. Red lives are hopelessly alive, the closer you are to death the more your body wants to reject it. Feverish like you’re fighting off an infection…

Furthermore ☝️ I think “burning up” is an intriguing way to conceptualize red life bloodthirst. You want/have to kill people, in turn putting your own life at greater risk. The players have rarely lost their last lives quietly, they die because they were trying so hard to live.
