Violet #4: Obsidian Falls
Violet feels her stomach cramping. This doesn't seem related to the cold she had caught. Slowly it feels like her whole body is on fire, and sways on her feet. She crumbles down and sees that around her people are going through the same. "Poison!", she hears someone say. Thanks to the friends she made on the Path so far, she knows what to take as an antidote. If it wasn't for them, she'd probably be dead.
Violet #3: Ruin of the Skye
Violet can't shake the feeling that something is very odd with the person in front of her. She tries to read their body language to see if they are threatening or not, but the room is dimly lit and the figure moves in such strange ways... Violet concentrates and pushes, pushes... Suddenly she feels two presences, one evil and one scared. Rapid images flash in her mind, showing her two separate existences. The spirit possessing the girl leaves, and Violet crumbles, confused. Had she just gone into someone's mind? She didn't know she could do that. Suddenly it's clear to her why she's exceptionally good at reading people. And worse, she's used this power on her friends, too...
Faraine #10: The Vala Rant
Okay, this is not my normal „oh that happened today" diary entry. This is a rant about an annoying person. That person is Vala Silverview. Oh sorry, I meant Vala Silverview, Crown Princess of Ossory. You might ask what is Ossory never heard of it. That's probably because you are not a dwarf from that small Kingdom on Daerune. So back to Vala the annoying Dwarf, who decided I'm the person she wants to annoy. To every other person, it looks like Vala is a nice noble person who treats everybody with respect. But for some reason, she decided I'm the one person who don't deserve the respect. What did I do to her to deserve that? Let's start at the beginning. During a very interesting Lesson about healing given by my friend Eira. I accidentally tripped and touched that dwarf a bit. I, the kind person I am, wanted to give her an apology for it, but did she let me apologize? No, she immediately started about how she normally doesn't allow somebody to sit on her lap until she knows the name of that person. As if I tried to sit on her lap I was not even close to her lap. Stupid dwarf girl with her imagination. You think that was bad? Wait until I tell you more. After we got all poisoned or something (yeah yeah I will tell you about it but this is not a normal diary entry this is a rant)Vala did a good job with helping everybody. I think she saved Eira's life. That was nice of her. So again the kind person I am I thought I should go thank her for what she did. But when I told her that she went on some story trip about how she is a good person and doesn't deny pretty elf girls on her lap. As if my thank was about that stupid incident during the lesson. She wanted to know my name again and before I could even justify myself and say that my thank was for the saving of people not about something that never happened she already started to invent a name for me. Luna just because I'm an elf and have a connection to the moons and stars. At that point, I was already pretty confused and explained to her that my name Faraine Rora is but that she should call me Far. However instead of accepting that she started about how she doesn't do „fake" names, unless she is the one giving it, and will call me Faraine. But it got worse she added, that maybe she should just stay with Luna and that I should call her your majesty and other things like that. As if I would call her that every day. However when I wanted to say that to her instead of giving me a real name to call she told me I can choose 3 names that I want to call her and she will have three names to call me. As if that would make anything better! I still can't explain why I just didn't play her game and walked away. Maybe she enchanted me to not walk away, I don't know. Anyway, I stayed and made the mistake and stayed. She decided she would call me from now on 'Farfar', 'Luna' or the worst of them all 'Sweetie' as if I'm her girlfriend or something. Sure I always dreamed of a princess as a girlfriend but for sure not such an annoying arrogant dwarf lady, who thinks she is better than me and can get what she wants just because she is a princess, what I'm btw still not sure is even true. But back to the story. Now I needed 3 really annoying nicknames for her so that she would cancel the game. I went with 'Valy', 'Shorty', since she is a dwarf even if she is only 10 cm shorter than me, and last 'Sugar' just to counter her 'Sweetie'. Did she react as I wanted? No, she did not she even laughed about the names and accepted them. I think she might even be disappointed that I don't call her 'Sugar' more often. What a strange girl. Now you think okay that was bad that must have been it. But no it got even worse. Later that day we all went to one of the lakes of the falls. I jumped in and teased some of my friends in and offered them a swimming lesson. I thought it would be a fun experience for me and my friends. So I offered it to everybody who wants them. Obviously, I only meant my friends but Valy over there probably thought okay this might be a good way to taunt 'Poor little Farfar'. So she stripped down to her underwear in front of me (and everybody else) and probably enjoyed taunting me with her hot body. Now there were 3 people to teach Violet, Cory, and Shorty that dwarf girl. We teamed up in two groups and instead of being able to work with one of my friends I had to end up with our little princess. Long story short she taunted me the whole lesson and then even dared to show that she really is a great swimmer and only played me. Now a secret for you, diary. The worst thing is during the walk I took to cool down, I realized I am definitely attracted by her body. But no way I will ever admit that to anyone and especially not to that arrogant dwarf. What I decided to do is mostly just ignore her and if I have to interact with her I will just act as if I don't care at all about her and won't show how much she annoys me. I just have to stay away from any places where she could remove any clothing, not to get caught gazing at her, that would be embarrassing.
Violet #2: The Mist of Solitude
While lost in the heart-wrecking vision of her newly-made friends running from her in fear, Violet admonishes herself for not being good at anything but using transformation to cheat and earn dirty money. This gives her an idea, and she transmutes the mist into marbles, clearing her vision and enabling her to see her friends for real, who are caring and supportive.
Violet #1: Ashthorn Tree
Violet is intrigued by the whispers she can hear from the Tree. They seem to call to her in some way... Perhaps to her wisp-form? At night, when most people are asleep, she sits still by the Tree, trying to listen to the whispers without the noise present during the day. But she still can't understand anything they're saying...
Violet is a Skaimorn who’s been alone in the streets of Kerador ever since she can remember. She doesn’t know her real name, so she goes by Violet since this is what people call her because of her skin. Violet uses her knack for transformation to cheat at cards and makes a living gambling. She has a scar on her face from a bar fight, which makes her look even more intimidating, but she’s actually a softie at heart and wants to find a place where she belongs (though she likely won’t admit it). She’s heard a group of travelers talk about the Novice Path and since she was bored, she decided to tail them and see what the fuss is all about… She’s very impulsive and doesn’t have grand plans, and now that she’s on the Novice Path she’s feeling a bit of imposter syndrome being around people who have dreamt of the Orilium Academy all their lives. But she’ll get through it with her witty sense of humor and some magic skills she might yet be unaware of…

Faraine #9: Ruin of the Skye (Part 2)
Part 2: The Room of Tributes
Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3
During our travels we heard rumors about a room of tribute in the ruins. A place where you have to leave something very close to you. As long as I argued with myself that my very first flute is not the for me most valuable thing I posses, I even argued that my shawl is way more expensive so I might should let that back instead of my flute. But even the fact that even I had this argument with myself indirectly proved that the flute is the thing I have to leave back, as sad as it makes me. When I entered the room and saw Insiya who just made her tribute looking at the other things in the room. I joined her and we found some impressive tributes an expensive gown, medallions and even a crown was under the tributes. Insiya put on the crown what lead to us joking and speculating about potential princes and princesses at the academy and the option of us marrying a prince or princess. Only the thought of it was enough to sting in the hole the mist left in my heart. After that it was time for me to say goodbye to my beloved flute, but before I leave it back I had to play one last time. So I just let myself lead by my feelings and started to play a song. During the playing I remembered all the good and bad times this flute got me through. The moment I got it as a young child to my very first concert back in the local tavern, the moment I met Talina, no not that I don't want to remember that, my very last concert, me playing it very sad in my room after Talina broke up with me, the moment I rediscovered the passion for music and finally the night I met my new friends. And now we are here I played my very last song on this fleet I whispered „Thanks for your service, you were my very first friend and lead me to my love for music.
