When I was younger I wanted hair like Jasmine from Aladdin! Could have picked a better role model but that was my choice but Like many people, I turned blonde and a few years ago reverted back to brunette. I thought that once that colour hit my hair, I would have developed silky, shiny hair from the normal dried blonde! This was not the case unfortunately. It has taken me about three years to get the condition back to the way my hair should be. You don’t understand the harshness of bleach on your hair until you’re bleach-free.
A couple of tips that help me get that shine and strength back were;
I got my hair cut every 6 weeks/ 2 months – like I mean an inch off it! It actually grew quicker and it got rid of any broken/ split/ fine ends
I started off using a Kerastase shampoo and conditioner, thinking it was the best for my hair and ended up getting a build up of product which left it feeling quite limp and horrible! Now I use a normal product but I also use Baby shampoo once a week to take away any leftover product. It is brilliant and makes your hair feel proper squeaky clean! Try It!
I then discovered the amazing Moroccan Oil which I have mentioned before! Well worth €38 euro! I’ve been using it about 2 years and I am only on my 2nd bottle. Strengthens hair and protects against blow drying, straightening, wands, heated rollers, and the list goes on …
It’s nice to be able to change hair colour but not at the expense of the quality of your hair. So keep it in good nick so you change whenever you feel like it! I still don't look like Jasmine - quite bitter about that!
