#Kern #River yesterday on our way home from a camping trip at Lake Isabella. We had a good time but it was hot as hell and the water froze our patooties off! OMG was it cold! So cold we couldn't swim, but we tried, dad gum 🤣 The best time was after we sat for hours in the heat waiting for the sun to go down. Lake Isabella's in the Sequoia National Forest. Take 178 up through the Kern River Canyon towards the town of Lake Isabella, Bodfish and Kerrville. This river is one of the 10 most deadly in the US. There's a sign at the mouth of the canyon by the hydroelectric plant that shows how many people have lost their lives in it. It was 275 the day before as we went up and every summer all summer long we'll hear on the news about people missing and and people being found. Please be careful y'all. Our campsite was literally one foot from the water! It was awesome. I'll be posting some more pics later on so stay tuned. #LakeIsabella #SequoiaNationalForest #KernRiver #KernRiverCanyon #KernCounty #forest #lake #river #camping #water #camp #campsite #nature #summer #vacation (at Kern River Canyon)
