Help Camp Kesem University of Richmond!
So many of you don’t know this, but every year I go to a camp called Camp Kesem. The camp is for children who’s lives have been impacted and changed due to cancer. (Sad, I know). It is 100% free for all kids who attend, and it provides them with a chance to be kids for one week. It helps the parents relax and the kids have fun, all while in a supportive environment, where they can connect with kids who have also gone through situations similar to theirs.
Now, I know you’re wondering why I’m making this post, and I’ll tell you!
It takes about 1,000 US dollars to send one kid to camp for a week, and the counselors have to raise all of that money by themselves, whether it is from mass donations, or small ones, they all need to raise 1,000 dollars before going. What I’m asking is that you guys donate to some counselors! You can donate however much you want to whoever you want, and you’ll know that all everything you donate will help a child (6-17) to be able to have a kid again. (Including me!)
I’m providing links for you guys to donate to, and I’ve chosen people who I’ve come to know over the course of a week last summer, and who I’d consider people who deserve to come back next year.
