@ketaminedvivisection liked for a starter!
“As nice as this place is, it’s certainly not home.” As of late Will had felt the desire to return to his world. He was tired of being separated from his coworkers and teammates, and he was tired of being left without his abilities.
While he would lose the bonds he made in Hive City, at least he would regain what he had lost.

It’s interesting to watch people, sometimes, going about their business without sparing anyone a single thought. It’s also interesting to watch people who were watching people, doing so nonchalantly that they almost didn’t look out of place, if not for the fact that their eyes darted everywhere at once. Or tried to, at least.
Like this one man Gaap had been eyeing the past couple of minutes.
“You should sit down.” She tried making herself known, tapping the empty bench seat beside her. “I don’t think it’s good for you to keep standing like that.”
SECTOR 4 TOOK PRIDE IN CALLING ITSELF CULTURAL, though it rudely omitted the bearing of dragons. Statues of Greek Gods and shrines of the east decorated street corners and brought forth vibrancy absent in other regions. Be that a compliment to many in regards to the architecture, it sowed an inverse effect to her organic preference for brooding. Assimilating with the crowd will be a task braved another day. Presently, conversing with the individual closest to her will manifest itself as an act of earnest effort.
“What do you make of this place? Do you find it to be lacking? Or do you think it substantial?”

A life spent around gems who frolicked and danced rambunctiously made them prone to searching for those who were the opposite: people who were more like them, who preferred to lead a life outside of the cookie-cutter mold. Subtle expression changes on other peoples' faces, in particular, always caught their attention. The man, standing a short distance away in the park, caught their attention right away due to that fact. Everyone else they saw within the past several minutes had someone accompanying them or were involved with something of importance.
Lapis' heightened senses were consistently able to pick out the interesting ones from a crowd, the ones who lingered and observed and did not make their way inside various social circles until the right moments arrived. However, the results of their natural observational skills were never exactly what they anticipated. They always reached for the truth without any hesitance or restraint. Sometimes, however, it was best for them to second-guess themself. Unfortunate, indeed, that they never learned how.
"You look like me," they told him.
"I have never encountered someone as seemingly composed as I am. In fact, you may even be better than me... I wonder if you see what I see in this city?"
