It wasn’t often that Will would sneak off to a nightclub during his off time, let alone without Karen in tow. If he were ever caught at such a place it would be tabloid fodder and bring disgrace to both himself and the league as a whole.
That’s why, whenever he did go out, he made it so people didn’t recognize him; he ditched his mask and usual form of dress, instead choosing something simple and less flashy. A simple t-shirt, jeans, and a pair of lightly tinted sunglasses was all he wore, and if anyone asked him for his name, he would make up one on the spot. He also made sure that his powers remained solely focused on blocking out the thoughts of those in the club. If he didn’t the sheer level of noise and chaos would leave him in a mess on the floor and with a migraine that would last a good week.
Despite all the risks and precautions, Will still enjoyed being in this type of environment. No one knew him, and he felt that he could truly be open about a side of him that he kept hidden and buried deep down. Plus the possible one night stands were a good distraction from whatever thoughts and problems he was avoiding, and he would never say no if someone appealing came up and started hitting on him. He craved such attention for it made him feel wanted and desirable, something that he never really felt for multiple reasons.
He soon found himself pushed out of his thoughts as he felt a pair of eyes upon him. Looking around, it took the psychic only a few minutes to find out who exactly was staring, and his blood soon ran cold. Will did not expect to run into anyone he knew, let alone another league member, and if the other figured out who he was and why he was here...
He needed to leave, or at least lose himself in the crowd.
Quickly looking away, Will moved from his spot and traveled further into the crowd, hoping that the other wouldn’t follow and would stop looking for him.
