MY ANSWERS:
1. Which fictional reality (from books, movies, comics, etc) would you choose to have a magical portal in your room to? Hmm, definitely the Shire. When I first read the Hobbit when I was 12, I just fell in love with the idea of a beautiful countryside filled with a nice race of peaceful people. And of course the look of the Shire in the movies (yes I know it’s actually New Zealand) made it seem all the more real and wonderful to me.
2. How would you describe a human being to an alien who had never seen one before? A lump of flesh that walks on two legs and doesn’t know what’s good for themselves.
3. What do you think about the concept of sexual orientation? It’s a personal thing I think. If a person wants to label themselves as any particular orientation, that’s fine. If they change their mind at any point in time, that’s fine. If they don’t want to have a name attached to what they feel, that’s fine too. I’m 100% for any kind of orientation or lack thereof. As long as you love one another, it’s all good in my book. The world needs more love.
4. What do you think is the most important question on the minds of all humans is? Why do you think that question is the most important? I think I’ll go with ‘What’s it all about?’ I mean, that’s the one that hits me the most often anyway. I’m certain everyone has reached a point in their lives where they stop whatever mundane thing it is that they’re doing and think: What’s the point? Why on earth am I here? What does it matter if I keep doing this? Does it have any meaning? Is this my purpose?
And then you feel existentially lost for a while before settling back into life because it just continues to go on despite of it all.
5. Which are more terrifying: internal monsters and demons, or, given that monsters were real, real monsters and demons? Oh gosh, internal monsters for sure. Because, if monsters were real and tangible, there’d almost certainly be a way to defeat them. If the biggest monster you face is something that’s within yourself, it’s much harder to destroy.
6. What would you like to happen after death? I think it would be great to just be happy for once. Be happy and be able to enjoy it…not constantly worry about things.
7. Describe yourself. Be honest, regardless of whether or not it sounds narcissistic or like you are compliment fishing. How do you see yourself right now? As various dumb text posts on tumblr say, I feel as though I’m both amazing and absolutely worthless. There are days when I think: Yes, it’s awesome to be alive. I’m gonna have a great day and everything is beautiful and isn’t life grand? I’m going to talk to people and make friends and have a great time. And within seconds I’ll be thinking: Yeah freaking right. No one likes you, no one ever wants to talk to you, and in the off chance they do, you’re gonna fuck it up royally.
But, when it comes down to it, all my hatred is for myself. Despite being terrible at really talking to people, I genuinely love everyone. I take people and things in stride and do my best to be kind to everyone, because who’s to say they’re not suffering just as bad, if not worse, than I am?
8. Who would you like to be in ten years time? I would like to have accomplished something. I’m not sure what. I hope to be part of a bigger team of people and just be able to help and create. And I hope to have made some meaningful connections with people.
9. Scarves or gloves? Scarves.
10. How do you deal with stress? I dunno…I just cope I guess. I’m almost constantly anxious about something. Music helps. And if it gets really bad, I’ve got some breathing and stretching exercises that I do.
11. If you were in a game, what kind of stats would you give yourself? You have 100 points all up to distribute between: Strength, intelligence, agility, stamina, charisma, empathy. (This doesn’t have to match your current personality if you don’t want it to.)

12. Which would you consider worse: being considered stupid or insensitive? Insensitive.

14. Has a song ever made you cry? If so, which one and why? Gosh, ‘Christmas Shoes’, ‘Butterfly Kisses’, ‘Riding With Private Malone’, and ‘Belleau Wood’. Why? Just listen to each of them…you’ll cry too.
15. Do you think music or lyrics are more important in a song? I think they’re both equally important really. I mean, there are songs without lyrics that are immensely powerful and masterful in their ability to move you. Same for songs with lyrics. The words can be so amazing that, without them, it would just be some background music…so I suppose it depends.
16. List the 5 qualities that you most admire in a person. Empathy, humour, kindness, loyalty, courage.
17. Do you think it is important for a band to have a great image as well as a great sound? It’s grown to be that way I think. Though, most of the bands I like aren’t really the definition of good looking or whatever…I think it’s an acquired taste as far as looks go. But when it comes down to it, the band could be a bunch of pustule ridden ogres and I wouldn’t care as long as their music was good.
18. If you could master one skill, what would it be? I’d like to be better with people. I wish I could just have that easy back and forth type of personality that makes it easy to just be.
19. What is the worst nightmare you’ve ever had? I’ve had a few that deal with hostage situations that are terrifying. But one that sticks out to me was one I had when I was little. It goes like this:
I was sitting in the back seat of my family’s car with this little rainbow comb I used to have. If you ran your finger down the teeth, it made a really pretty little sound. As I was playing, I dropped it on the floor. When I reached down to get it, a bunch of wolf snouts and paws with sharp claws tried to attack me from underneath the seat in front of me. It freaked me right out.
20. Do you think you are overly harsh when you judge yourself? Without a doubt.
21. How much can you tell about a person from the way they dress? Hmm, enough but not too much. I mean, you can tell their likes to an extent, you can tell what sort of style makes them comfortable, or if they’re wearing certain clothes what bands/shows/teams they like. But it can’t give you a really deep look into a person’s personality.
22. If you could say 1 thing (i.e. one sentence) to your hero, what would it be? I’d simply tell them thank you. And I’d have no doubt of it coming across as the most sincere thing that I’ve ever said, because it would be.
