❦ Milo chuckles slightly at the statement, removing his hat in order to run a hand through his cowlicked hair. “More than a couple, but that’s a fair enough question! Most people don’t know much else about me aside from being a gym leader and a farmer.”

“I’m a florist of sorts; I’ve a small greenhouse I set up in the gym which works as a recovery room for the gym’s Pokémon, but it’s also where I grow bushels of all sorts of flowers. Aside from that, I really enjoy cooking and experimenting with berries in my dishes. Quirk of having an orchard!”

“Hm... aside from that... I knit?” Although that hobby was a bit more to combat anxiety. You’ll see Milo knitting when he’s having a bad time and he’ll be knitting up a storm at that.

his  face  feels  like  it’s  going  to  burn  right  off  with  the  heat  rising  to  it   —   it’s  worse  than  any  of  lizardon’s  flamethrowers,  or  any  of  the  times  his  mama’s  fussed  over  him  just  like  this.      one  of  them  would’ve  been  bad  enough,  but  two ??     he’s  stuck  with  his  arms  stubbornly  pinning  themselves  to  his  sides  without  listening  to  his  brain’s  protests,  pikachu  off  on  the  side  being  absolutely  no  help  whatsoever   —   the  traitor   —   just  snickering  at  him  from  a  safe  distance.     satoshi’s  too  flustered  to  even  manage  a  glare  at  it.

It’s gorgeous, grotesque, a beautiful vision of something less than lovely. Lysandre’s smile is whole and genuine upon further inspection of the piece. His smile is somewhat off-putting, as all of his smiles tend to be when he’s not being careful to smile just so. 

“It’s gorgeous. Evocative. I’ve been to a few thousand fashion events in my time, or so it feels like- and trendy clothes have never captured my interest the way designs like this do. I can see you put your heart and conviction into this- you have something to say, something worth saying.

You’ve made a painful statement in such a beautiful and delicate way. The violence of it, and the romance of it... what could be more reflective of life itself?”

His hand clasps the younger man’s shoulder.

“Might I see more of your work? Unless you’d rather I waited until your next showing of course. I’d hate to overwhelm you suddenly.”

“Oi, bold hair.” Edward has appeared from seemingly thin air like an unwanted magician, but he's here regardless with a smile and a small present in tow.

“Saw these when I was out with my brother. Thought you'd appreciate it.”  

Wrapped in arguably the worst wrapping attempt ever is a gachapon phone charm of a Morpeko, alongside some Morpeko-shaped chocolate cookies!

“Oh. Thanks.” She takes it and admittedly spends what is just barely enough time staring at the cookies and charm in her hands to be uncomfortable before moving, putting the cookies in her backpack, looping the charm immediately into her phone, before holding two very small boxes out to him, lids on the bottom to show him what’s inside.

“M’not big into the fancy scene - I don’t even own anything fancy to wear... But I got these made, figured they might be good for your... Public image, or whatever...”

Held up to him is some cuff links, designed to look like a sword and a shield each. The box with red ones is marked for Sordward, while the one that’s blue is marked Shielbert. Opposites to their suits, obviously, but each other’s colours.

“Now you’ll always have a... Link... To each other.”

The joke is said very... Plainly and dryly.

James pauses mid-scrub with the sweeping brush he’s using to scour the muck and grime from Koloss’ head and wonders what Sordward would think about him being married to a Steel-type specialist and owning a Steelix.

He’ll call him sometime!

Back to scrubbing as Koloss makes a very contented groan from beneath his feet.

“...” Shirley’s been staring with an odd intensity at James for the good part of the time they’ve been in the same room, and as there was a silent lull in the room, he finally claps his hands in a moment of eureka with a gasp.

“Bubble-rum, slip shine sheer shiny lipsticks range. Thinking about it all the time you’ve been here; I do apologise if I seemed intense for that! It’d look nice on you.”

James blinks. He stares for several long moments, and its almost comical how Altair’s expression matches his own so perfectly.

“I’m a married man.” He replies simply, before breaking into a shit-eating grin as he hums. “Y’think so, though?”
