I went to the blood drive at Kettler today and actually had a really great experience. 

First, the Kettler is amazing. Brand new, all glass, sooo nice. Two blocks from the metro.

Second, the blood drive was run by Inova, a company local to the DMV. The staff were all fun and friendly and seemed like they enjoyed being there. Lots of joking and laughter. The equipment was great and it was just very thorough and well-run. Sooooooo it was way different than every Red Cross drive I’ve done.

Third, the snack-up room was on a mezzanine that overlooked one of the rinks, so I got to see the last ten minutes of a youth hockey game.

Third and a half: one of the snacks was pirate booty and I was PSYCHED

Fourth, I now have 200% more cap swag than I did when I started.

Caps fans help!!

This is kinda creepy, but if anyone has attended caps practice regularly and know what cars the players drive and you wanna let me know that would be awesome. I may go to their practice Thursday with a friend whose never been, and I wanna make sure we can find burky and some others afterwards to get signatures! I don't wanna have to run between the top level and the parking garage levels trying to find them and maybe miss them. I know burky use to drive a black car but I don't know really have a clue what anyone drives haha

I saw the Kettler Iceplex today for the first time EVER.

I actually almost peed myself. I miss watching the Capitals play SO much.
