Soon you find yourself hopelessly and completely in love with a man and you ecstatically believe that you’ve finally found the one. He makes a few small mistakes along the way, but you’re willing to forgive and forget because he’s only human, right? But then small mistakes turn into colossal, unforgettable mistakes, and the next thing you know it’s a Tuesday night and you’re too drunk to put your exhausted existence to rest because he told you he didn’t feel bad for making you feel like you want to die. But that’s what love is supposed to feel like, right? It’s supposed to feel like the bruises and scratches he gave you the day before; it's supposed to feel like betrayal, confusion, and hurt, right? But it’s not, and you eventually realize that that “man” isn’t human at all…he’s a monster, an “it”, and you’re just another soul he’s preying on. And the worst part is: you’re in love with “it”.

Be sad but get up. You don’t have to shower. You can put on the same clothes you wore yesterday. Nobody will care. The sky is blue, wildflowers are blooming by the side of the road. Strangers have stories to tell. Go for a walk, go for a drive, go to a greenhouse, a bookstore, a movie theater. You can stay in bed but nothing is going to happen there. Sometimes you’ve really just got to get the fuck up.
