Oh how he adored these kinds of places. Cafés were always a source of comfort and relaxation for the Boss having frequented them quite often back home. These trips could wind up being rather indulgent as the Boss tended to go through at least several cups of coffee and eat at least a whole box or two of pastries. Thankfully for today the beast is subdued and the Boss enjoys himself a macchiato and a small basket of cookies he had ordered. Truly a wonderful way to kill some time before going out to gather more intel.

Embarrassing.

She had not mean to appear as less than capable in front of him. Out of everyone who had to be in presence of such an idiotic moment, why it had to be Steven? She did not struggle often with appearing cool, calm and collected. If anything, she sometimes appeared to be the epitome of elegance. And today, everything she built felt like crumbling. 

With her hand, now stuck, in the body of some godforsaken creature, which resembled a strange blob of pure flesh. Phasing in to kill it from inside was a smart idea but she had not counted with her abilities to click out of reality and leave her like this-- half of her hand meshed in with the flesh, organs and whatever in the world this monster’s anatomy was.

          So much for preferring to never use his psi abilities. Granted, while the size of rubble he could carry couldn’t be big, it’s only the speed that counts. It’s what gets a goblin off his tail while he makes a break for it.
