Shifting Gears

Every step brought Siwoo into contact with a steady stream of faces he never thought he’d see again. There were flashes of past events that crossed his mind when he came into contact with a few. Some made him laugh and others caused even him to cringe. He hid that fact, passing the feeling off with a roll of his eyes and a cluck of his tongue. He wouldn’t exactly call his evening a disaster but the longer he stayed the closer it got to just that, a disaster. Damage control would definitely need to be done but that didn’t stop him from searching for another victim from his particular brand of charm.
His eyes landed on another guest and for a moment he couldn’t remember how he knew but he was sure he did. Obviously he had to have been a student or at the very least affiliated with the school to attend the event. While that left him more than a little curious, it wasn’t the source of the familiarity. Replaying a series of recent events, through the haze of his building tipsiness, the accident. Surprisingly, Siwoo held back the side of him that would have prepared to lash out with words and dramatic behavior, mostly because his vehicle was still in the man’s possession. He could manage a few minutes of empty small talk, especially if it helped to answer all his unspoken questions about the other.
Sipping on his drink as he approached, Siwoo saddled up to the other, balancing his weight on one foot as he tried to appear casual and relaxed. “Shouldn’t you be somewhere restoring my vehicle to glory?”
