angst o'clock: jercy post-breakup au but make it end on a positive note. percy moves on for good with another person while jason decides to stay single for the rest of his life because he wants to immortalize percy as his final lover and he knows that no other person could ever hope to compare. fast forward far into the future when jason comes to visit percy's home to see his newly born kid and is instantly enamored and knows he'd love the baby as his own. percy feels both a tingle and a twinge in his heart at the sight of jason holding and staring at his child with joyful, teary eyes that only know love, and he unwittingly catches a glimpse of a once possible scenario in which his child would also be jason's.

random headcanon that just popped into my head: percy overtaking jason in height and growing a head taller when they became adults. percy acting triumphant every time it comes up in conversations which earns himself an affectionate eye-roll from jason. percy feeling absolutely elated that he doesn't have to look up anymore just to kiss jason, and would tease jason when jason has to instead (his payback for jason's past teasing). percy cooing at jason and calling him 'tiny' and 'smol' despite them and frank being the tallest people in their friend group. percy putting his chin on top of jason's head casually, stealing kisses on the bridge of jason's nose with practically zero effort, and sneaking a few whiffs of jason's hair whenever he passes by. percy feeling a tad more protective just because he got taller, which jason secretly enjoys because the chronic hugger in him gets to have percy's arms around him all the time 🩵

dark!percy, who toppled the olympians and razed his own world to the ground after losing jason, somehow through parallel universe shenanigans stumbles into an alternate timeline in which jason is alive and happily together with his alternate self. he then decides his sole purpose in this new world is to make this jason his, no matter what it takes.

i absolutely adore how percy got his looks from his divine father while jason got his from his mortal mother. just another one of those contrasting features contributing to the parallel between them that is fascinating to me, in the same vein as how 'perseus' means destroyer and 'jason' means healer 🩵

thought of a new jercy au in which percy was a child actor who shot into stardom after starring in 'peter johnson and the olympians' while jason is a member of the rising rookie band called 'the lost trio' alongside piper and leo. jason grew up fanboying over peter johnson on tv and has always been in love with percy his whole life, while of course, percy didn't know jason even existed...🥺

their story began during an awards ceremony that both percy and jason attended. percy was set to win an award for his latest hit film (a romcom) while the trio landed their first big gig there courtesy of their manager reyna 🫶

on the red carpet, an interviewer asked jason who his childhood celebrity crush was growing up. flustered, he declined to answer, but before he knew it, piper grabbed the mic from his hand to instead complain, "oh this loser drives us NUTS with how obsessed he is with percy jackson btw like he even has a peter johnson doll he brings to bed with for a good night's sleep—"
