Going Live!
The Keyboard Killer Studios website is now live! The start of the Genetic Wake comic can be found via the comics drop down menu located in the main navigation bar. Work will continue on the site in the coming weeks as less vital sections are fleshed out. Follow this link to get to our site at it's current address! http://keyboardkillerstud.wix.com/keyboardkillerstudio
A 3D version of the Keyboard Killer Studios lovebird logo. With the site going live later today allow us to give you a little backstory on how the studio got it’s name.
The founding members of the Keyboard Killer Studios team share a home with six parrots. Among those parrots is a little peach faced lovebird named Mango. Well this little lovebird loves to sit on hands while someone is typing or really doing anything on the computer. From time to time he’ll hop down onto the keyboard itself to play on it. Well he started pulling off keys, as anyone with a bird knows they tend to do, which earned him the nickname “Keyboard Killer”.
Now when the studio was being set up we were slamming our heads against a wall trying to figure out a name and it was at that moment that little Mango decided to start trying to pull keys off the keyboard once more. Our response to him doing that was to go “Leave the computer alone you little keyboard killer!” and then it clicked that keyboard killer would be a great name for a studio that focuses on digital work. It stuck and now we are Keyboard Killer Studios. Since Mango was the inspiration for the studio name we decided that it would only be suiting to use him as the base for the logo and thus why our logo is a lovebird with a K key held in his beak.
Anyways, there are likely going to be other versions of the lovebird logo that come out from time to time, likely even an animated few.
Site update
The site for Keyboard Killer Studios will be live two days from now (on the 23rd) with the first 5 pages of the Genetic Wake comic posted. From there you can expect regular updates, barring any major issues, as well as other art and information from our projects. Work will also continue on the site to better flesh it out. Next site related goal is a proper domain name which will come in time.
The Genetic Wake comic cover is finished! A lot of work has also been going into the Keyboard Killer Studios website. The site isn’t live yet but it should be visible to the public in the near future.
