I really do dislike asking for help but, the truth is, I need it. If I lose my computer I lose my means of communicating with the world and knowing what’s going on out there. Sorry to ask for help for something so petty to most people but it’s a big thing for me. If you can spare a bit, even a buck or two, and are willing to help, I would appreciate it.

Dear computer: Play nice!

I want to do some 3D work but my computer has been a pain in the rump today. I know my processor is dying, my mother board isn’t doing too hot either and my cpu cooler has kinda gone kaput. I actually have been cooling my computer by shoving a desk fan into an opening so there’s enough air flow. I really need to change out some parts soon but, being disable, can’t afford the parts right now. I’ve picked the parts out but, sadly, food and medication is more important than hardware.

Net went out earlier, and I got bored. Thus I decided to sketch a kakapo.

Since May is mental illness awareness month, I decided to share how Nero helps me with my worst mental illness; PTSD. I have PTSD due to extreme childhood abuse, 17 years worth of hell. Well I still get horrid flashbacks and nightmares that make me wake up in a panic and ready to fight. That’s where Nero comes in. When I have a flashback or nightmare Nero is right there ready to calm me down.

He will snuggle up close to me and start grooming me telling me “It’s OK daddy.” “You safe, I here.” and things of the sort. Having little Nero with me does wonders to calm me down after a PTSD issue. He can even tell when I’m starting to have a PTSD nightmare and will yell his head off to wake me up so it doesn’t get too bad. Any time he senses anything is off with me he will do his best to get my attention and distract me from it which helps so much.

I’m working on getting him harness trained so he can go out with me and get registered as a proper emotional aid animal. Any time anyone tells me a bird can’t be an aid animal, I just laugh at them because they’ve never seen little Nero in action. He is a great helper bird!

I typically only call people neuronormative or neurotypical (And MUCH worse) when they’re ignorant jerks who treat me like I’m less because of my mental disorders. What can I say? I am NOT a nice person when I’m insulted. Been stepped on and attacked far too many times to give half a damn about the feelings of those who attack me. So yeah, I tend to bite back these days and my life is better for it. Now someone who’s without disorders but not a jerk, I got no problem with those people and am more than willing to help them understand what living with my disorders is like if they wish to learn more.

Ah insomnia, how I did not miss it. Granted, I can get more done on some insomnia nights but, when my mood has been kinda a roller coaster and my fibromyalgia is going “No energy for you today!” it’s kinda hard to be very productive. At this rate I may just cuddle one of my baby birds and watch youtube til my body decides I’m allowed to sleep.

@multiplicityandme I’ve found your alters’ appearances sort of inspiring. Being a 3D artist I want to give rendering all of your alters a try. This one is meant to be Jamie, how close to the mark did I get? I do know the glasses are too dark, I intend to fix that next go around. But how does the model look overall?

Wardrobe info would be helpful. I was just kinda guessing with the clothes. I’m working on Oliver next (I, being a goofball, responded before on the comments of my original post THEN reblogged it on the wrong tumblr, pardon me, still learning how tumblr works!) and I figure Ollie is gonna be good practice for me since I very have very rarely needed to do renders of teens. But yeah, style info would help a good bit so I don’t end up dressing someone in something they would never wear. I’m glad ya like it!
