Just custom built and modded this keyboard. How. HOW does a $25 Ali Express (or like $50 on Amazon if you're like me and don't want to wait like. Four weeks for shipping) keyboard sound THIS GOOD??? It's so poppy! GMK67 65% keyboard Epomaker Wisteria Linear switches Random $25 Amazon keycaps I added tape to the PCB, lubed and put plumber's tape on the stabilizers, and added an extra layer of poron foam in the case. First time modding a keyboard to this extent and... it was super easy and SO MUCH FUN. 100/10, would recommend.

I may not have a current blorbo but I do have a new obsession, which is mechanical keyboards. So I guess keyboards are my current blorbos.

Gotta wait a few weeks go get some bills paid, but then I'm gonna buy my first intro level kb, which several youtubers have suggested is really good and moddable for the price, a pre-built RK Royal Kludge M75:

I'm getting the green version because I love the soft sage-green color. I also like that it has both a knob and a screen, which for the ~$100 price point is really good. The keyboard isn't aluminum, it's plastic, but that's ok. Also, the sound is apparently really nice.

Right now I'm just going to go with the linear switches because I'm not sure if I'll like tactile or not.

The key shape isn't my favorite but this particular pre-built doesn't come with round keycaps. Round keycap shapes include MOA, SOA, DSA, and XDA. That's something I'll have to invest in later, along with silent switches.

I'm pretty excited to get into this!!

When I tell you this thing is my sensory dreams come true. The look. The feel. The sound. Truly a wonder.

I modded my first keyboard last year. And now, I have accomplished my goal this year to make a fully custom keyboard. And!! No waste. I picked up more switches to replace the ones a took and bought a new set of caps to rebuild the old keyboard for my girlfriend.

i'd really like to get some cute artisan keycaps too, but i'm pretty picky ;0; and some tiny frog plushies for my desk too, I think!

I'm thinking of adding keyboard content to my YouTube channel.

I'd do some typing ASMR and some actual board building.
