Ford just created the best login app out there.
Ford Keyfree Login
Ford has introduced KeyFree technology into their range of cars, and to showcase this, they have come up with a very clever app that works much like their KeyFree technology for cars, but for your social web.
Install the app on your computer, enter your usernames and passwords for Facebook, Gmail & Twitter, and then pair it via bluetooth to your smartphone, and your done! Your phone is now a smartkey for your digital life, when ever you approach the computer (looks like it’s probably mac only) Ford’s KeyFree app kicks in, detects your there and automatically logs you in to the sites you use.

Pretty cool! Keyfree Login by Ford.
Ford Keyfree technology.
Context: this app is made to promote their car's key free technology but they cleverly adapt it to create a little revolution. It is simple: download the app, synchronise it with your laptop, enter for the last time your passwords and you will be automatically connected and disconnected to your fb/twitter/gmail accounts. Awesome, but is it really useful when you are the only one to use a laptop? Probably not. But two or more persons can sync the app with the same laptop/computer and then it becomes interesting.
Other issues: sometimes you don't have your phone with you (you can still enter your passwords manually) and the blue-tooth technology is great but needs a lot of resources (battery...). Finally, if you have your phone + laptop stolen (okay, you are not lucky) you basically lose your digital life and you have a better chance not to remember your passwords.
Ford's first objective here is to advertise their car's key technology and I think it's a great campaign. This app will most probably buzz, people will try the technology and adopt it but it also opens a new horizon for app developer in order to create similar apps and to revolutionize the way we login on an online service.
