Kibum rolled his eyes, "just shut up Jonghyun, if my mom wakes up we're fucked."

"I thought we were fucked when she caught us," Jonghyun replied cheerfully, the hold on Kibum's hand tightening. It drew out a small chuckle from the younger boy, temporary erasing the sad line around his lips.

"She just doesn't understand Jjong, I'm her only--"

"You don't have to defend her Kibum, I understand," Jonghyun cut in as he slid open the backdoor, the tender glow of the moonlight meeting them.

"Kibum..." Jonghyun started, looking his boyfriend in the eye, "once we're out there, there is no way back. You can't go home."

And as much as the younger had wanted to smack his shoulder, to say something funny and confident, to rid themselves of the heavy atmosphere, all he could do was smile.

"That's okay hyung," he whispered, setting the first tentative steps outside, "because it's not home without you anyway."
