but really, it was a lot of fun! the characters drew me in pretty immediately, which is really the big thing a show needs to do to keep me watching. plus I think it's similar to Avatar in the way it started out good/average and gradually got better and better each episode in terms of its story and animation. honestly, the whole thing reminded me of my experience watching atla (albeit with a lot more mature content, lmao).
I didn't know what to expect since I've heard of Critical Role but never actually watched the campaigns (and I've never played DnD despite trying to find time for it, though I know some of how it works), but in general I like the way this sort of quest storyline was adapted, especially since each character had their big moments of development and growth. overall it was just really refreshing and a ton of fun to watch, so I'm really looking forward to season 2.
I was gonna say Nathan Ivashkov but then I remembered Jared Sage existed. Nathan is a terrible father but at least he didn't send his child to reeducation, knowing said child would get tortured (among other things)
all around, great dads (Victor Dashkov also makes the cut for making his daughter turn into a strigoi and for torturing Lissa)

Abe Mazur and Jaclyn Terwillinger. first inspires terror but is terribly soft when it comes to his loved ones. second is tough, wise, mysterious and yet hilarious and so caring
23. Thoughts on the movie?
I actually think it's a fun movie? i enjoyed it when it came out in theaters. was it great? no. was it as good as the book? no. but still enjoyable! the promotion and marketing was done poorly: very little advertising, "Mean Girls meets Twilight" yuuuck, which led to its poor success. but the casting choice for Dimitri was ABSOLUTELY GREAT (Danila Kozlovsky, know ily) and Zoey Deutch was a really good choice too! (and fits Rose's description perfectly!)

not a dumb question at all!!!! ya i kinda figured that out on my own tbh. I didn’t even know how to word it in google so that I could find a tutorial.
preface: i have no clue if this is the best way to do this, but this is how i did it. also I did it with the frame animation. idk how it would work with the video timeline. I’m using Photoshop CC 2019.
side note to anyone else reading this: this tutorial requires basic knowledge of how to make a gif using the frame animation timeline and how to add, edit, and position text.

So, unfortunately, it’s a frame by frame process. I started by creating a single text layer on the first frame that I wanted the scrolling text to start. Then I made it visible only on that layer. This initial text layer was just the letter ‘N’. Position this layer like you normally would with any text in another gif (horizontally centered, aesthetically pleasing vertical position, etc.) just make sure to make it visible on that layer only!!
Then, click on the button above the frame animation, to the far right (the stacked lines) and “Match Layer Across Frames”. A little dialogue box should appear. Make sure that “Layer Position” and “Layer Style” are checked (don’t check “Layer Visibility”!) This will ensure that all of the duplicated layers are at the same vertical position but that they remain hidden on all layers except the one you’re working on.
Move to the next frame. Duplicate the first text layer and add the next letter to it, then made it visible on that frame only. Use the move tool to re-center it horizontally. No need to worry about adjusting the vertical position of the text. We made sure it remained consistent by matching the initial text layer position across all the frames.
Tip: label each text layer something other than N copy, N copy 1, etc., cuz otherwise it gets confusing.
Then, just rinse and repeat this process until you are satisfied with the the way it looks. In this case, I stopped adding layers after it reached about 20 characters in length (so twenty text layers across twenty frames). But depending on the effect you want, that will differ.
It’s a little time consuming at first, but once you get the pattern down, it goes by quick.
