I was so excited to find a key lime cupcake at this cute little bakery in downtown Lafayette. Key Lime is one of my favorite flavors (banana is my all time favorite)so I couldn’t resist purchasing this delicious looking dessert. After arriving back to the office and attempting my first bite i noticed it was quite cold and stiff. It was in the display when I purchased it. Now this was disappointing. It made me wonder how fresh it could be. So I pushed it to the side and waited for it to thaw. When it thawed ate it. The cake was dry/dense (I prefer a lighter cake texture and had a lemon flavor not key lime, and the frosting was ok now that it wasn’t as stiff but had a light lime flavor which was nice. Out of five stars I would give it a 2. Not bad but not thrilling.
