Easter Sunday dinner was delicious! Mom made a scrumptious baked ham, green beans and macaroni and cheese. The butter croissant was purchased by me (they were out of rolls) and was tasty. She understood the assignment. My hairstylist/make up artist @muaderaee did a fantastic job. You show her a photo and she lays your hair for you. She even changed it to fit my unique style a bit. Tonight was a fun dinner out with friends at Gatos in New Lenox, IL. A delicious Italian restaurant in our south suburbs. I started with a peach Bellini cocktail, a cup of minestrone soup and of course warm crusty bread with butter, olive oil and parmesan cheese. The main course was a breaded halibut with basil cream, mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus. Everything was delectable and well presented. The asparagus was the tastiest I’ve ever had and the minestrone was light and flavorful. Day 4 - Something green This is my lucky jade bear. It was purchased while in a trip to China. While in Beijing we visited a Jade Center as part of a tour. The place was massive and filled with jade jewelry, sculptures, figurines and more. We were able to watch as the sculptors created magnificent Jade pieces before our eyes. It now sits in my den on a shelf watching over me. Share an old family photo This challenge was on Pinterest for Black History month and I thought why not? There’s several ideas which would add to my knowledge base of black history so why not? So today I’m going to share the family photo we took when I was eight years old. My brother was probably 11. At this time my brother Keith was going through a hard time. Day - 2 What I wore Even though we’re having a blizzard I could help but wear something light but bright today. I didn’t want long sleeves so I pulled something which always makes me feel slim (even when I’m not) and sparkly. This shirt was purchased at a boutique in Hot Springs AR one warm sunny day. It grabbed my attention with its bling and unique textured ruffle at the waist. It gives girly vibes. I’m wearing a pair of simple black yoga pants underneath.
