Oh How the Time's Have Changed
Wander stood beyond the Great Bridge, looking out towards the Forbidden Land, Agro right beside him as the Last Guardian looked out at the Shrine of Worship for the last time. He had failed. But in his failure he was offered redemption: hold the vengeful god as prisoner within the depths of his own soul. He accepted.
He turned on his heels and walked away from the Forbidden Land. A surge of dark essence surged through his body as he turned and released a dark bolt of energy from his palm, the bolt colliding with the entrance to the Forbidden Land, causing it to crumble and collapse on itself. No one would ever find this place again...he'd make sure of that.
-the world changes-
The world had changed in all the years he had been alive. While humanity continued to move forward, creatures evolving all around him, he remained ever constant. The watcher of this world. Its protector should humanity fall too far. What was once considered to be the work of the Cursed was now applauded. Magic had become the norm and was encouraged. Creatures of myth weren't that at all, but of reality. Still with all the fearsome creatures that he had encountered nothing had ever come close to matching the power of the Colossi he had slain all those years ago.
Wander weaved his way in and out of the crowds with ease, reminiscing about the past. It was rare for him to go into town, especially since his desire to be around others was so minimal, and he never really understood how their magic worked. What if they could detect the limitless power locked away in his soul? Would he be hunted? He didn't want to find out, it'd be a shame to have to kill so many people. His train of thought crashed when he quite literally crashed into someone else.
"Ah...my apologies" he began quickly, his tone apologetic as he ran a hand through his dark brown hair. "I wasn't paying attention." An encounter. All because of his own stupidity.
Its late, buuuuut [/drops url here]

AU: The Last of Us
❀-- [Prologue]
"Girls? Girls!" a man's voice rang throughout the house as footsteps trailed upstairs. Lucy and Lucille were sleeping in their shared room, ignoring their caregiver as they had a long hard day. The fifteen year old twins went through their first day of work as babysitters, and babysitting the Strife kids from down the street had fully drained them of their energy. "Girls!" the man's voice shouted as he opened the twins' room door, only to find them asleep. He sighed in relief as he tugged the string of a lamp which triggered for it to illuminate light.
Lucille, the oldest of the two cracked an eye open.
She sat up, rubbing the gound out of her eyes before letting her voice speak. "Jake.. it's three in the morning." she grumbled before yawning. "Yeah, and it's time to get packing and leave this place before something bad happens." he replied, going through the closet as he took out three backpacks and threw one of them at her. "Now, get your sister up. We're leaving as soon as you guys are done, hurry." though Jake paused at the door before adding, "Oh.. and pack light." and left the room. Lucille furrowed her brows, "What's his problem..?" she wondered before shaking her head and stretched her limbs.
The blonde hopped out of bed, walking across the room to another bed which contained her sleeping sister. "Lucy, ne." she whispered, shaking her sleeping form a couple of moments. No answer. She sighed heavily before walking in front of the nightstand beside the bed. The nightstand had a drawer, her fingers held the knob and opened it far enough and let it slam against the wood. The body in the bed had jerked awake, a sigh escaped Lucille's lips before smiling.
"Oh, sorry.. didn't know you were sleeping. Get up, Jake wants us to get packing." she placed a hand on her hip before grabbing the two backpacks sitting on her bed. As she threw one of the backpacks towards her sister, she began the procedure of packing. As her sister asked her why they had to pack, she shrugged her shoulders. "He just barged in here and said, 'Get packing'. It's kind of weird, desho?" she said, stuffing a pair of skinny jeans and a denim shirt into her bag. She figured going out in her sleeping attire wouldn't be of much help either.. since Lucille didn't know where the hell they were going after this.
She stripped of her t-shirt and left the white tank top she had on and replaced the t-shirt with a plaid shirt. Then, she stripped of her shorts and slipped on some dark washed skinny jeans while tying her hair into a ponytail and looked around the room for anything else she needed to pack. A finger was placed upon her lips, what in the world should she pack for? Jake never told her why they had to leave, and this came off as suspicious. "Lucy, wait here while I'll go find Jake." Lucille said before leaving the room and walking down the hall towards Jake's room.
The room door was slightly open a crack, and the light source coming from his room seemed to be the TV. "Jake...?" she called out knocking on the door slightly. No answer. She called again. No answer. A brow raised.
"Hey, are you even in--" she pushed the door open to see no one in the room. What..? The TV however, was on and it was on the channel of the news. "A strange virus has recently been spreading around the heart of Fiore. So far, we have word that the virus is spreading rapidly. And this just in-- scientists have not found a cure yet." the news reporter said, "And now we go LIVE to Jason." the news reporter vanished and a man with a mic towards his mouth now viewed. "Thank you, Carly." the news reporter Jason replied, before stepping aside to let the camera view a burning building with police cars spread all around it.
"Here we have--" Jason's voice had been interrupted. "Hey-- you can't be here this is-- GAHHH!" a policeman said before having a person jump onto his back. Another voice from behind the camera seemed to be in fright. "Oh my god.. screw this man! I'm going home-- ACK!" and the camera had dropped onto the floor. The only voices coming out of the TV were groaning, screaming, and grumbling. "No way.." Lucille whispered to herself before hearing a bomb explode from the TV before hearing it herself with her ears.
The window before her had the curtains open, and brown orbs caught the glimpse of a fiery red orange cloud of fire spread within the air. An explosion. Immediately, the blonde turned on her heel and ran back towards their room. "Hurry up and pack, we're getting out of here..!" she yelled stuffing whatever she can into her bag before going to the nightstand and opening the drawer to grab out a hunter's knife. Jake told me to keep this just in case something bad happens.. now seems to be the time. Jake's voice sounded at the bottom of the stairs,
"Girls?! You ready? Let's go!"
